My fitness philosophy is simple:
Exercise is good for everyone.
I could call it movement, I could call it activity or I could call it a number of things
which would take away the word "exercise".  America is on an anti-obesity,
pro-exercise rampage at the moment.  In most ways, I do not endorse this
movement, often looking for words to replace "exercise" in an effort to disassociate
myself with this philosophy.  You might wonder why I would not want to be
associated with a movement intended to make people healthier.  Let me explain.

I am all for helping human beings become healthier and happier.  It is my mission
and my passion.  I do not, however, feel that pointing the finger at fat - fat as a
nutritional element or fat as in the weight on a body - is going to bring any benefits
to anyone.  Feeling guilt or fear due to size, shape, age or fitness level is
counterproductive.  In order for exercise to become a permanent activity, it must be
fun...it must be appropriate...it must be forgiving...and it must be done out of love.
I strive to help you to love your body and its capabilities in any capacity, situation
and activity.  I do this with a sense of compassion and sense of humor.
